Camping Tips

Here are some of our camping tips that might just make your camping and packing so much easier.

Packing – If you want to save some space while packing use empty containers (these are the containers you will use for cleaning etc.) and use them to pack smaller items.

Pack ahead of time so that you have enough time to pack efficiently and not forget any essential items.

Enjoy the Outdoors – Don’t take too many electronics gadgets and rather take a book or board games that your family and friend can enjoy. Rather than staring into your mobile device use binoculars to enjoy nature and wildlife.

Family Cooking – When preparing meals don’t make it a chore but a fun activity that the whole family or group can enjoy. Try new ways of cooking on the open fire.

Planning and Preparation –  Planning meals ahead of time will make packing and cooking that much simpler and faster. If you plan all meals ahead of time you can only pack what is necessary and not waste any excess food. And you will most definitely have food for morning, afternoon and evening, and don’t forget the snacks.

Weather – Remember to check the weather before your camping trip and pack the correct gear and rain jackets or warm clothes if you are camping in a cold location.

Food Storage –  You will most likely be packing food that can spoil, so prepare adequate cold storage whether it is a camping fridge or cooler. If you are using a cooler, pack enough ice or check that you will be able to top up your ice supplies.
